Dr. Wood is a licensed mental health counselor providing services to Adults in West Central Florida using Virtual appointments by either video or phone. He has served over 30 years in Ministry and over 15 1/2 years in the Army and Navy, acting as Associate Chaplain, conducting worship services for active duty personnel afloat. He currently acts as a Medical Contractor providing Mental Health Diagnosing, Treatment and Therapeutic Interventions for our Nation's Veterans. Dr. Wood completed his doctoral studies in Psychology (Psy.D) from GTF and his M.A. in Professional Counseling from Liberty University.  He holds a 2nd Master of Divinity from Luther Rice Seminary.  He served 3 tours in the Persian Gulf before medically retiring from the Armed Forces and is a 100 percent service- connected veteran.   He completed his postgraduate residency at the Medical Center of Central Georgia where he provided Trauma and Grief Counseling in the ER.  Other assignments include work as a medical contractor for the Pasco County Correctional Center where he performed mental health assessments and treatment plans for inmates.   He holds the title of Senior Pastor Emeritus retiring in 2018.  Dr. Wood provides two (2) services, Professional Counseling and Bible Based Christian Counseling (upon request). He has over 40 years of experience working with those attempting to find meaning in their faith.  Ron works predominantly with adults. He utilizes CBT- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other treatment modalities that are client-specific. Ron is an active member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, The American Counseling Association and The Disabled Veterans of America.
